you have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of smell or taste (anosmia) – the advice is to stay at home for 10 days. Information on self-isolation rules if a member of your household tests positive for Covid-19 or if you are classed as a contact, can be found here.

If you think you have symptoms, please do not attend your hospital appointment until you are advised it is safe to do so. Please contact us to rearrange your appointment, or to re-organise treatment and tests.

Value and recognition

We know how hard Team NUH works to deliver excellent patient care, and we know how important it is that those efforts are recognised and appreciated.

NUHonours winners

Regular awards and annual events

Each week we receive numerous nominations for Team of the Week - a spotlight on the great work of just one team. Each month our Chief Nurse presents two DAISY Awards at City Hospital and QMC. Voted for by patients, DAISY Awards recognise where our nursing staff have gone above and beyond in their role to provide outstanding care. We have also recently launched the TULIP (Touching Unique Lives in Practice) award for our wider workforce colleagues.

We have three annual events to recognise individuals across NUH: Team NUH Awards (formerly NUHonours), Nurse & Midwife of the Year Awards, and Long Service Awards
