If you have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – a high temperature or a new, continuous cough – the advice is to stay at home for seven days. All members of this household should remain at home for 14 days.

If you think you have symptoms, please do not attend your hospital appointment until you are advised it is safe to do so. Please contact us to rearrange your appointment, or to re-organise treatment and tests.

Outpatient clinics

We have two outpatient clinics at the Nottingham Children's Hospital - Clinic South and Clinic East.

We care for children from birth to 19 years of age when we provide transitional clinics to transfer their care into the adult services.

The clinics consist of 21 consulting rooms, two treatment rooms, plaster on and off rooms, phlebotomy room and two large waiting play areas divided into two busy clinic areas.

Our work includes:

  • General medical
  • Surgical
  • Orthopaedic
  • Fracture clinics
  • Renal
  • Cardiac

All our staff are highly trained in many aspects of care and we work closely with other health professionals including physiologists, specialist nurses, dieticians and physiotherapists.

We also have play specialists who provide distraction using play therapy. They also receive referrals for children who may require preparation sessions due to fears and phobias

Both clinics are open Monday to Friday (8am - 6pm).
