If you have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of smell or taste (anosmia) – the advice is to stay at home for 10 days. All members of this household should remain at home for 14 days.

If you think you have symptoms, please do not attend your hospital appointment until you are advised it is safe to do so. Please contact us to rearrange your appointment, or to re-organise treatment and tests.

Jimma Link

Jimma Image NUH has had a partnership with the Jimma University Hospital in Ethiopia since 1993. 

It's a mutually beneficial relationship that gives NUH staff the opportunity to learn from patients presenting with tropical and infectious diseases , non-communicable diesease and trauma, that we don’t see as often in Nottingham. We learn a great deal from working within a different culture and health system.

There are far fewer resources available in Jimma for treating patients, however staff in Jimma are highly resourceful, and it is amazing what can be done with very little. 

Staff from many different hospital specialties have visited Jimma, including doctors and nurses, midwives, physiotherapists, engineers, hospital records and IT.

We are financed through fundraising and the occasional grant, and the NUH Jimma Link put on many events throughout the year.
