Pathways to Health and Social Care

The Pathways to Health & Social Care project team can provide the support you need to find your perfect role.

As a registered participant, you'll receive personalized 1:1 support to help you secure a job at NUH. Whether you're unemployed or economically inactive (not working or receiving benefits) and aged 16 or over, residing in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Derby or Derbyshire, we can support you with the following:

  • Comprehensive information about various departments, roles, and jobs available at NUH NHS, helping you to make an informed decision about your career path.
  • A demonstration of Trac- online portal and assistance with registration, allowing you to browse job vacancies and apply directly.
  • Guidance on the completion of the NUH application form to maximize your chances of securing an interview, ensuring that your skills and experience are showcased in the best possible way.

Traineeships

We are working in partnership with Access Training to offer an exciting Traineeship programme for 16-24-year-olds.

The Traineeship is an education and training programme that is focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core is work preparation training, English and Maths for those who need it and a high quality work experience placement.

The Traineeship will allow the candidate to build confidence and gain skills to enable them to apply for Apprenticeship positions following the Traineeship.

  • 6 week voluntary programme
  • 100 hours work experience
  • Functional skills
  • Level 1 Qualifications and Credit Framework Extended Award
