24 Hours in A&E returns to Channel 4 this June
Channel 4’s hit fly-on-the-wall documentary series, 24 Hours in A&E, will return to our TV screens on Monday 10 June at 9pm.
New episodes filmed at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust’s (NUH) Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC) will be broadcast throughout June and July.
Monday’s episode discovers how a love of thrill-seeking can lead to potentially devastating consequences.
38-year-old, Milky is rushed to QMC after coming off his motorbike at high speed. Trauma Doctor Amanjeet Dahaley investigates concerns he could have significant life changing injuries.
Thrill seeker Shaun is in resus. The 46-year-old dad was skydiving with his teenage son and landed badly. While doctors investigate the extent of his ankle injury, Shaun reveals how his own fun-loving childhood influenced his approach to raising children.
In the Paediatric department, six-year-old Coby has been brought in after swallowing an unknown object. Nurse Paul Francis investigates what’s stuck in Coby’s throat and if it poses any danger.
During September and October 2021, NUH welcomed cameras into the Emergency Department (ED) at QMC for the first series to be filmed outside of London.
A total of 24 programmes were recorded and the first 17 episodes have already been broadcast, giving viewers a look inside one of the country’s busiest accident and emergency departments.
24 Hours in A&E, which is made by The Garden, part of ITV Studios, has become one of the most popular documentary series on Channel 4, having aired more than 300 episodes.
Cameras returned to QMC in May 2023 to film another series of the award-winning documentary.
