Nottingham is blessed with a fantastic tram system. Running every 7-15 minutes, the tram is a very reliable, convenient and sustainable way of travelling to the QMC from key areas in town. It is also the best way to commute to QMC if you travel to Nottingham by train.
Similarly you can use the tram to commute to City Campus by riding until the Wilkinson Street stop and then catching the Medilink bus, or to Ropewalk house by riding to the Old Market Square stop (from where it is a short walk).
Tram Park and Ride
The Park and Ride sites allow you to park for free, providing you are using the tram service, Medilink or Phoenix Park Shuttle.
- You can connect to QMC from the Toton Lane Park & Ride car park (off Bardill’s Roundabout and accessible from the A52 and M1 via Junction 25 with A52).
- Journey times between Toton Lane Park & Ride and QMC are approximately 20-25 minutes.
Wilkinson Street Park and Ride
- The nearest park and ride to the City Hospital is on Wilkinson Street off Nottingham's ring road. The postcode is NG7 7NW. The site is open every day from 6am until 1am and is fully accessible for wheelchairs.
- Wilkinson Street is also served by the Medilink, a free bus service for NUH staff members to QMC and City Hospital
Other park & ride sites with connections to QMC and City Hospital via the Medilink bus and Phoenix Park (City Hospital) service are available. More information is on the Park & Ride sites click here
