If you have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of smell or taste (anosmia) – the advice is to stay at home for 10 days. All members of this household should remain at home for 14 days.

If you think you have symptoms, please do not attend your hospital appointment until you are advised it is safe to do so. Please contact us to rearrange your appointment, or to re-organise treatment and tests.

Conversations about clinical research

The Research Lounge was created by patients who contributed to the UKCRF Network Conference held in Nottingham in 2019.

The idea was to provide a relaxed, informal opportunity for researchers, patients and members of the public to discuss ideas and issues in clinical research.

Since June 2019, we've been developing the Research Lounge to include a range of opportunities for face-to-face and now online conversations.

The Virtual Lounge

To support the rapid development of clinical research trials for COVID-19 we moved online, setting up the COVID-19 Taskforce and organising a regular programme of Research Lounge conversations initially using video conferencing.

Now we're continuing to talk online, using a dedicated Research Lounge virtual venue.
