If you have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of smell or taste (anosmia) – the advice is to stay at home for 10 days. All members of this household should remain at home for 14 days.

If you think you have symptoms, please do not attend your hospital appointment until you are advised it is safe to do so. Please contact us to rearrange your appointment, or to re-organise treatment and tests.

Innovation is the process of bringing together new science, ideas and improvements to benefit our patients and the quality of care that we provide. Innovation at our hospitals means doing something different, better or safer.

We encourage all of our staff to innovate to improve the care we provide. As a leading teaching hospital, we work in collaboration with the best scientists, clinicians, academics and industry partners to ensure that we continue to develop the best in healthcare.

We have the expertise to translate ideas into better care. This means working with our partners to introduce new technologies, techniques and ways of working that will benefit patients.

The NHS as a whole is a major investor and wealth creator in UK science, technology and engineering. NUH is committed to playing our part in supporting the advancement of these disciplines through our extensive research portfolio, research facilities and partnerships with life science and Med-tech industries.
