We usually run a STI Foundation core course once per year, details can be found on the STIF website If you are interested in undertaking STIF practical competencies though our service please contact us via email.

 

Sexual Health Outreach and Promotion Team

Nottingham Sexual Health Outreach and Health Promotion Service provide a range of sexual health promotion services, across Nottingham City and South Nottinghamshire (Broxtowe, Gedling & Rushcliffe). We are part of an Integrated Sexual Health Service that includes GU Medicine, HIV, and Sexual & Reproductive Health.

The Outreach and Health Promotion Team is a dynamic, pro-active, forward-thinking and reactive team, contributing towards reducing inequalities in sexual health by promoting and delivering services that are accessible to vulnerable groups.  The team, working in partnership with a wide variety of partners across the voluntary and statutory sector provide quality, innovative health promotion to the people it serves in each community through both training for professionals, volunteers and carers and direct work with young people.

The team support outreach clinical services, providing a range of Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) to young people and vulnerable adults and provide a range of training courses for professional participants, volunteers and carers.

Early Intervention and RSE Workshops

Group work with young people or other vulnerable and at-risk groups

We offer FREE  informal and formal relationships and sex education workshops to a wide range of young people aged 13-25 in a variety of settings including schools, FE Colleges, Youth Centres, Alternative Provision, Children in Care, ESOL, Learning Disabilities, LGBT Groups, Young Refugees and Youth Offending.

We can provide high-quality age-appropriate workshops which can be one-off sessions, or preferably we can deliver programmes lasting five to six weeks.

Training

We offer FREE training to anyone who works with or supports young people across Nottingham City and southern boroughs.  Our training courses are varied and we run these throughout the year as either full or half-day courses.
