If you have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of smell or taste (anosmia) – the advice is to stay at home for 10 days. All members of this household should remain at home for 14 days.

If you think you have symptoms, please do not attend your hospital appointment until you are advised it is safe to do so. Please contact us to rearrange your appointment, or to re-organise treatment and tests.

The latest information on the Covid-19 vaccination programme in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire can be found here.

Physiotherapy plays a key role in the management of CF and is involved in many aspects of care.

Chest physiotherapy plays an important role in the respiratory management of CF. We aim to produce an individual physiotherapy and nebuliser treatment programme to enable patients to keep their lungs as clear as possible.

This will help to reduce the number of chest infections and so help to limit the amount of damage to the lungs. We are also involved in the assessment of oxygen therapy requirements and monitoring of patients using Non-Invasive Ventilation. The assessment and treatments for the upper airways is another area that involves physiotherapy.

We also aim to provide patients with an individual exercise programme to help to maximise exercise capacity and maintain good posture and flexibility.

We provide care to inpatients, patients attending clinics and out patent appointments and in the community.
