Our Director of Midwifery

Sharon has been our Interim Director of Midwifery since January 2019, and brings to NUH an NHS career spanning 33 years, including 27 years in Midwifery.  She was previously our Head of Midwifery.

In her Director role, Sharon is responsible for a team of over 700 midwives, midwifery support workers, receptionists, housekeepers and administration staff and will be working closely with the wider maternity team including; obstetricians, gynaecologists and  anaesthetists, across NUH, where over 8,500 babies are born every year.
