Sport and Exercise Medicine
The centre for sport and exercise medicine is based at QMC and is a leading specialist centre with an international reputation.
The department specialises in :
- Diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal problems
- Prevention and treatment of sports injuries
- Helping people return to sport/physical activity
- Research
Appointments
The department takes referrals from GPs across the country, as well as from consultant colleagues. Patients should initially make an appointment with their GP, who may then make a referral to the department. GPs can make an appointment through Choose and Book.

How to find us
We are based in Clinic 2 at QMC.
This is on B Floor, central route just past the X-ray department.
It is most easily accessed by the sliding doors next to the spiral staircase next to the disabled car park.
