This is your first day, welcome to the Trust and provides an introduction to the clinical systems you will be using and an opportunity to understand the training and support available to you during your time with us.
Please complete all mandatory training and other role-related training, so that you can work and train effectively and safely at NUH. All training is available through the ESR Applicant Portal or ESR Employee Self Service.
Your previous Trust may electronically send us your learning records for any training that you have already completed. Where we can accept this, we will automatically update your learning record within your ESR portal. This will be done around 2 weeks prior to your start date. You will need to complete any training that is out of date or not completed (identified by a red box) and any that is due to expire within 3 months (identified by an amber box) as soon as possible.

All NHS Clinical staff have to complete annual mandatory face-to-face resuscitation training.
Some specialities will do this annual mandatory update as part of their local formal induction. If this doesn’t happen locally please contact nuhnt.resusbookings@nhs.net
We also need to see a copy of your most recent higher level resuscitation status certificate if you have one e.g. ILS, ALS, APLS so please send a copy to nuhnt.resusbookings@nhs.net
Almost all of our clinical work runs through ICT based systems so please ensure you look at the ICT training packages through the applicant portal https://my.esr.nhs.uk
If you have any issues accessing the ICT Training packages through ESR, the videos can be accessed through YouTube Doctors ICT Training playlist.
You will have been allocated your NUH ICT log in credentials by your first day either by pickup at the induction or via a secure online virtual call.
