New Medical Director for EMRAD is Dr James Thomas

Dr James Thomas has been appointed the new Medical Director for the East Midlands NHS Imaging Consortium, EMRAD.

James is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at Nottingham University Hospitals and is passionate about transformation and improvement. He will be raplacing Dr Tim Taylor as Medical Director from 18 March, his role will be providing EMRAD with strong clinical Leadership and a clear strategic direction for its future.

Speaking of his appointment, James said: “I would like to thank Tim for his extraordinary work to date with EMRAD, which has begun transforming care for patients across the region and changing how clinicians work by giving them access to the complete radiology imaging record for their patients, regardless of which hospital they were performed at. I very much look forward to meeting colleagues in the weeks and months to come and talking about how we can strengthen the EMRAD partnerships and use advances in technology to further support our clinical governance, research and teaching.”
