Once a referral is accepted, we notify the referrer. Additionally, we send out forms to parents to return and request relevant information from local professionals, such as the child’s Teacher of the Deaf. The first step in the assessment process is, where possible, for the family to attend a video call appointment with a member of our team. During this appointment we gather background information from the child's family and explain the assessment process.
