Phlebotomy

The Phlebotomy outpatient service continues to be available on both City Hospital and QMC campuses and is open Monday to Thursday 7am–5pm and Friday 7am–1.30pm and we request that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to closure.

We operate a drop in service for urgent and hospital based blood requests only.

Please do not attend if your request is for routine bloods, so we can maintain your safety and follow the social distancing requirements. We are requesting that where possible you attend on your own to reduce the volume of people we have in the waiting room.

Can we also ask any patient who requires a blood test to have  a wrist band in place as we will not take blood without one as per trust policy. Wards should be providing this for you if you are a patient.

Our busiest times are Mondays and between 8am–11am daily.
