NUH is flying the rainbow flag
NUH is showing its support for Nottinghamshire Pride by flying the rainbow flag, promoting LGBT equality and inclusion. Our CEO Tracy Taylor today raised the flag in front of QMC to demonstrate her personal support.
Tracy said: ''I am proud to raise the Pride flag at NUH in recognition of the diversity of our patients and staff. At NUH we value the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer/Questioning, Intersex (LGBTQI) community and have the ambition to be Nottingham’s most inclusive employer. NUH will be at Nottinghamshire Pride on 28 July, where our services will be engaging with the LGBTQI community.''
Giles Matsell, Head of Equality and Diversity at NUH, said:
We actively promote equality and diversity and have established staff associations giving voice to the diverse minority populations we employ and serve. Feedback has told us that small changes such as flying the Rainbow Flag can mean a lot to people in feeling valued. The Trust is relaunching its LGBTQI+allies staff network, and therefore Tracy’s personal involvement is a very powerful endorsement.
On Thursday 19 July from 10am – 11am at City Hospital, Trust HQ, HR Meeting Room (first floor), there will be an LGBTQ+ allies network meeting, which is being relaunched to give anyone an opportunity to find out more and share ideas for better inclusions at NUH.
NUH will be attending Notts Pride on 28th July, volunteers are welcome.
