Welcoming two new Non-Executive Directors to our Board
On Monday 27 September 2021 we were pleased to welcome two new Non-Executive Directors to our Trust Board, who join us in our pursuit to become outstanding for health outcomes and excellent patient and staff experience.
Tracey Blackwell joined the Board as Non-Executive Director. Tracey has over 36 years of experience working in local government in wide range of district and city councils. As an Environmental Health Officer Tracey’s early career focussed on a wide range of community-based issues including - housing conditions, food safety, infectious diseases, pollution control, public health and health & safety in the workplace.
Subsequent senior roles provided the opportunity to lead teams delivering leisure and cultural services, community safety, licensing, trading standards, planning, waste collection, strategic and social housing.
As a result of her appointment to the Trust’s Board Tracey says that she is delighted to be able to contribute to the ongoing improvement and integration agenda across the health and care systems.
Helen Diksa joined the Board as an Associate Non-Executive Director. Helen has extensive experience as a HR leader in complex organisations and a track record of working within highly pressurised settings.
She is fascinated by the future strategy of Integrated Care System, and the ambition to support people to live longer, healthier lives with a focus on prevention, addressing the root causes of poor health and wellbeing.
On her appointment Helen said: “The past year has been challenging for many organisations and I am indebted to many of the great professionals that work in the NHS through personal experience, and I believe I am at the right stage of my career to fundamentally make a difference and support NUH on the challenges ahead.”
Eric Morton, Chair at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, said: "I am really pleased to have made such strong appointments, which will further strengthen our Board. I am confident that both appointees can add significant value in these areas with their fresh perspective and considerable experience.”
