Mental Health Awareness Week

Call out for creative facilitators to run sessions during Mental Health Awareness and Creativity and Wellbeing Weeks at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust 9th – 20th May 2022 (weekdays only)
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) is looking for creative practitioners to deliver ‘taster’ arts activity sessions to staff during Mental Health Awareness and Creativity and Wellbeing weeks. This could include (but is not limited to) drawing, painting, crafting, music, poetry or creative writing. This will form part of our new programme of Arts at NUH, kindly funded by Nottingham Hospitals Charity.
We are seeking experienced creative facilitators who are available to deliver at least one session (30 mins – 1 hour long) between the hours of 10:00-19:00, 9th-12th or 15th-20th May 2022. The sessions will be for staff at NUH. There will be a maximum of 10 sessions available over the 2 weeks and there is a fee available. We are particularly looking for people who have:
- Experience of facilitating creative sessions in groups
- A session that is suitable for people with little/no experience
- A session that focusses on wellbeing (the process rather than end product)
- Reflects diversity of NUH and surrounding communities
Your session will need to be suitable for online facilitation for up to 20 people (any materials can be delivered by the Arts Coordinator to participants) although you may be able to facilitate face-to-face, subject to hospital guidance around Covid-19 at the time.
If you are an experienced creative facilitator who is confident in delivering sessions to people of a wide range of ages and abilities and sensitive to the needs of others we want to hear from you!
Bring your whole self to work for us at NUH. We love diversity and we value your difference, your unique skills, knowledge and experience. We particularly welcome applications from people who identify as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, or Disabled, as we are currently under-represented at NUH.
Please note you will need to provide a valid DBS certificate, photographic identification, public liability insurance and two references.
For more information or to apply please send a cover letter, CV and creative proposal to megan.dawes@nuh.nhs.uk by Thursday 31st March 2022, 16:00.
