Indi Gregory: NUH statement

Indi Gregory: NUH Statement 10/11/2023

“This has been a very long and challenging journey for Indi, her parents and everyone involved.

“Our priority will remain to provide Indi specialised care appropriate to her condition and in line with the latest court judgement. Alongside this, we will continue to support her family in every way possible.”

Background

Indi has an incurable and progressive condition (D2 L2 hydroxyglutaric aciduria) known to be fatal within the first year of life. Babies with this condition need highly invasive and painful interventions due to having life threatening events. Due to the rarity of the condition treatment options are very limited and we believe that we have exhausted all of those options.

Indi has required intensive medical treatment since birth. She is currently in the paediatric intensive care unit at the Queen’s Medical Centre, part of NUH.

Full details of the latest High Court judgement are now available online.
