Donna Ockenden calls for staff to come forward and share their experiences

Today (13 October 2022), Donna Ockenden, Chair of the Independent Review into maternity services at NUH has launched a Staff Voices initiative.
As part of this initiative, Donna is asking all current and former staff members who work directly in or closely with our maternity services to share their experiences with the Review team.
Since the Review launched last month, we have been actively encouraging all our colleagues to engage with this process and to speak with Donna and her team. Today, we reiterate this message to our staff.
Michelle Rhodes, Chief Nurse and Director of Infection Prevention and Control, Nottingham University Hospitals Trust said: “We support Donna Ockenden in calling for all our current and former colleagues to engage with this important and vital process.
"We are committed to making the necessary and lasting improvements to our maternity services and the voices of our staff, as well as those who have received care at our Trust, will be invaluable to the Review team.”
This is a confidential process and staff can contact the Review team at staffvoices@donnaockenden.com or by calling 01243 786993 (between 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday).
Donna’s call to hear from staff is in addition to her public appeal to anyone who has received maternity care at our Trust, or who know of loved ones who have received care, to speak to her team and share their experiences. You can contact the Review team at nottsreview@donnaockenden.com.
