Critical Incident Stood Down

As of 2.52pm today (6 November), we have stood down the Critical Incident that was declared on Tuesday 4 November.

Operational performance has improved, with fewer ambulance waits and long waits in A&E. In addition, our new Electronic Patient Record is now operational across the organisation.

We still have more work to do to though, and our sites remain very busy. We continue to ask for the support of our communities:

  • If your relative is due to be discharged from hospital and needs to be collected, please do so as early as possible. This will help our teams and free up a hospital bed for someone waiting to be admitted.
  • Please carefully consider whether you need to attend A&E, only attending in an emergency.

Those with planned appointments should continue to attend unless told otherwise.

Thank you for understanding during this time.

We pay tribute to all our colleagues for their hard work and dedication in responding to this incident.
