24 Hours in A&E repeat – Keep the Faith

Due to popular demand, Channel 4 will be repeating an episode of 24 Hours in A&E filmed at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust’s (NUH) Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC) on Monday 14 August at 9pm.

Keep the Faith, which was originally broadcast in January, will be the last episode in the current run from Series 1.

The Royal Television Society (RTS) award-winning documentary follows staff and patients in one of the busiest A&E departments in the country. A place where stories of life, love and loss unfold every single day.

Keep the Faith follows 18-year-old Kye who is rushed into Queen’s Medical Centre after suffering a cardiac arrest during a football training session. Consultant, Craig and the team in resus face a race against time to restart his heart before it is too late. Kye’s mum, Lorenda, reveals how football was so important to Kye growing up and how he dreamt of a career in the game.  Since the episode first aired Lorenda has been raising money for CPR sessions and defibrillators to help others who go into cardiac arrest. In the minor injuries department 23-year-old, Phoebe is with boyfriend Matt. The student tripped in a library, damaging her nose. While staff investigate the extent of her facial injury, Phoebe and Matt reveal how their relationship unexpectedly blossomed from friendship into love.

During September and October 2021, the Trust welcomed cameras into the Emergency Department at QMC for the first series to be filmed outside of London.

A total of 24 programmes were recorded and the first 11 episodes have been broadcast so far this year.
