There are multiple ways to travel to QMC and City Hospital, the following will give you information on how to travel to each of these sites.
Getting around Queen's Medical Centre There are four blocks in the hospital main building which are colour coded. The Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat building is linked to the East Block and the signs are white.
West block is orange
East block is purple
South block is green
Medical School is blue
Signs to these blocks are all colour coded as appropriate. Both AICU and E12 are in West Block.
QMC is based just off Derby Road, postcode NG7 2UH
Travelling by car and parking QMC is on the Western side of the city, just on the inside of the Nottingham ring road at its junction with the A52. The A52 crosses the M1 at junction 25.
The main visitors' car parking areas are car park 1 (access on East Road) and car park 3 (access at the junction between East Road and South Road).
One week/month reduced parking charge tickets are available from the Critical Care Units, ask our receptionists or bedside nurse about these.

Medilink and Park and Ride The Medilink service runs around every 10 minutes between 5:45am and 8:11pm, Monday to Friday. The service links the two main hospital sites and the Wilkinson Street and Queen's Drive park and ride sites. There are additional stops at the junction of the Nuthall Road and Crown Island. There is a small charge for the public to use this service. This is cheaper than other services and paying for parking at both hospital sites.
The closest Park and Ride for QMC is located off Queen's Drive near the A52, Clifton Bridge. The postcode is NG2 1AP. It is open from 6am to 8:30pm, Monday to Saturday and is fully accessible for wheelchairs and buggies.
Queen's Drive is also served by the Citylink 1 bus, which runs every 10 minutes to Nottingham City Centre until 4:35pm. The site is approximately 25-30 minutes' walk from QMC.
Travel by Tram QMC is the only hospital in the Country with a dedicated tram stop. Trams run every 7 minutes during peak times. There is a bridge connecting the tram stop to the B Floor Level of QMC. If you require further information on the tram, then please ask. There are also dedicated volunteers for the tram service at QMC who are happy to help.
If travelling from Nottingham Train station you will need to get the tram towards Toton Lane and get off at the QMC stop.

City Campus has junction numbers to follow. The code for each junction is made up of a letter and a number.
The letter stands for the corridor:
N - North Corridor
W - West Corridor
P - Physiotherapy Corridor
S - South Corridor
Critical Care is situated at junction N15.
City Hospital is based on the Hucknall Road, postcode NG5 1PB

The car parks closest to Critical Care are blue entrance care park close to outpatients, maternity and x-ray or purple entrance car park close to physiotherapy outpatients and x-ray. You can park in any of the visitor allocated car parks within the site.

The nearest park and ride to the City Hospital is on Wilkinson Street off Nottingham's ring road. The postcode is NG7 7NW. The site is open every day from 6am until 1am and is fully accessible for wheelchairs and buggies. Wilkinson Street is also served by the NET Nottingham tram.
Travel by tram The City Hospital is not directly served by the tram, but you can use the tram to get to Wilkinson Street and then use the Medilink bus to complete your journey.
From Nottingham train station, visitors can take the tram going to either Phoenix Park or Hucknall, from Wilkinson Street connect with the Medilink bus to City Hospital. Alternatively, use the tram to Toton Lane and get off at the QMC before connecting with the Medilink bus to City Hospital.
