Alyssa Tate, Apprentice Administration Assistant
Alyssa has been an Admin Apprentice for just over a year and consistently demonstrates the Trust’s values. She leads team development activities, supports colleagues with kindness, and is frequently praised for her work. Passionate about growth, she suggests improvements and promotes inclusive training. A true team player, Alyssa makes a positive impact and is a valued asset.
Angel Timmons, Paediatric Staff Nurse
Angel has demonstrated outstanding growth, dedication, and impact since joining the Children’s Emergency Department. Starting as a newly qualified nurse, she has become a confident, reliable team member through hard work and enthusiasm. Angel often goes beyond her role – including developing a teaching programme to improve care standards, and her passion, positivity, and leadership potential shine through in all she does.
Erin Frain, Registered Nurse
Erin completed her nursing associate apprenticeship with outstanding dedication and recently secured a Registered Nurse role in Neonates, her career goal. She consistently receives praise for being calm, compassionate, and patient-focused. Thoughtful, driven, and reflective, Erin supports peers with kindness and leads by example. Her future in nursing is exceptionally bright, and she’s already making a meaningful impact.
Liz Shipman, Paediatric ENT Nurse
In under four years, Liz has become an essential Paediatric ENT nurse, deeply impacting patients, families, and the team. She has mastered advanced skills, strengthened the service during a crisis and transformed tracheostomy care through training and life support. Beyond her clinical excellence, she supports colleagues and reassures families with compassion. Liz’s talent and dedication make her an exceptional nominee.
Mike Roche, Registered Nurse
Mike completed both his Nursing Associate and Registered Nurse apprenticeships at NUH, showing strong commitment and growth. Now a qualified RN in the Emergency Department, he is known for his quick thinking, calmness, and patient-centred care. He embodies ambition by actively seeking development opportunities and reflecting on improving patient care. Mike continues to give back, serving as a role model and future nursing leader.
