Have you, a relative or a friend received great care at one of our hospitals?  

Members of the public are being invited to nominate a staff member, volunteer or team who have demonstrated high-quality care and compassion for our Public Award and Volunteer of the Year Award. 

A Nottingham-based artist has taken up a six-month Artist in Residence post at the city’s hospitals, working with staff and patients on creative sessions, and documenting hospital life.

An RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden created with the National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) in mind proved a hit with celebrities at this year’s event, including gardening guru Alan Titchmarsh.

The infected blood inquiry (IBI) is an independent public inquiry, chaired by Sir Brian Langstaff, which was set up to investigate the circumstances around patients infected with HIV and hepatitis (B and C) due to blood and infected blood products in the NHS in the 1970s-1980s. This included many patients who were infected following blood transfusions, and patients with haemophilia and other bleeding disorders.
