NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG is doing all it can to help residents get the care they need and ease pressures on NHS services this Easter.

“Our message to patients is that we may need to move you out of hospital – either into a bed in the community or with your loved ones if they can support your care at home - whilst you wait for your care package to become available.  You will be supported once you leave hospital which will make sure that we have the capacity to care for unwell patients who need a bed”.

One of the core elements of NUH’s Green Plan is sustainable travel and the need to promote more cycling and walking, electric vehicles and public transport.

The nature of healthcare work means that it is energy intensive with electrical power needed to operate buildings and clinical and office equipment as well as heat to regulate building temperature for patients and staff.

 

To coincide with Green Week at Nottingham University Hospitals, the Turst has published its plan to become Net Zero by 2040, building on work it has been doing for many years to reduce emissions, save money and provide a better quality of life for patients and staff.

Health bosses are asking for the public’s help to make sure staff can focus on caring for the sickest patients in our community who need life-saving care.
