Developing and Implementing Shared Governance & Shared Decision Making Masterclass
Shared Governance/Shared Decision Making is a powerful model of frontline leadership, promoting improvement of services through the empowerment of staff delivering direct care. This one-day masterclass will equip learners with a clearer idea of how they might develop or introduce Shared Governance/Shared Decision Making in their clinical setting or organisation.
The principles of Shared Governance/Shared Decision Making will be outlined during the day, linked to theoretical frameworks and practical applications within a large, acute, inner city NHS Trust. Four key questions will be addressed:
- Why choose Shared Governance/Shared Decision Making and what does it look like?
- What is needed for effective Shared Governance/Shared Decision Making (personally, organisationally and nationally)?
- What tools do we have to implement and evaluate Shared Governance/Shared Decision Making?
- What is the potential and future for Shared Governance/Shared Decision Making?
Participants will leave with a clearer idea of how they might develop or introduce Shared Governance/Shared Decision Making in their clinical setting or organisation. You will be signposted to further learning opportunities.
