  • Pleural services

The team includes NHS consultants, academic and university consultants and specialist nurses in lung cancer, COPD, asthma, LAM, ILD and cystic fibrosis. We also have two pulmonary function laboratories, a full range of bronchoscopic techniques, three inpatient wards (D58 at the QMC and Fleming and Southwell at the City Hospital) with a dedicated admissions and day-case unit for patients with chronic or long-term conditions and dozens of specialist clinics within the Treatment Centre at the QMC and at the City Hospital.

Our internationally respected Respiratory Research Unit performs research into asthma, COPD, ILD, LAM, lung cancer, pneumonia and cystic fibrosis, ensuring patients can gain access to the latest treatments and technologies and can participate in national clinical trials in our new clinical research facility.
