If you have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of smell or taste (anosmia) – the advice is to stay at home for 10 days. All members of this household should remain at home for 14 days.

If you think you have symptoms, please do not attend your hospital appointment until you are advised it is safe to do so. Please contact us to rearrange your appointment, or to re-organise treatment and tests.

Driving research collaboration across the Midlands

MHA logo

We are one of the founding partners of the Midlands Health Alliance (MHA). The MHA consists of regional, national and internationally recognised experts working together on health-related clinical scientific questions across the East and West Midlands.

The MHA co-ordinates strategy across the Biomedical Research Centres (BRCs)Clinical Research Facilities (CRFs); wider associated National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) infrastructure; and the partner NHS trusts and Universities who are delivering clinical research, to maximise and secure inward investment to the Midlands.

The vision of the MHA is to ensure a step-change in the quality and quantity of clinical biomedical research in the Midlands for patients, the public and industry.  By working in partnership the MHA will develop:

  • a common strategy for maximising the impact of our research streams;
  • standardised tools and approaches to clinical patient recruitment and study setup;
  • a clear infrastructure for signposting the Midlands capabilities to industry.
