Future of the Carillion contract decided

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) and Carillion have mutually agreed to a managed exit from the core aspects of the Estates and Facilities contract.

The Trust has begun a process to transfer core Estates and Facilities services back under NUH's management in a managed way by 1 April.

We recognise the continued hard work of Carillion staff as NUH and Carillion have discussed what the future holds. Over the coming weeks, a process will commence that will see Carillion staff transfer back to NUH by April.

Peter Homa, NUH Chief Executive, said: "The Trust will require a period of time to assess and action what is required to take forward these essential services and deliver the highest level of service to our patients and front line staff."
