Car Parking during Covid 19

Car parking charges will resume for patients and visitors from 11 January

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) will be resuming car parking charges for patients and visitors from Monday 11 January 2021. This will include the reintroduction of parking enforcement measures.

To help the public prepare for the reintroduction of parking charges, in the lead up to this date the Trust's Car Parking Attendants will be applying warning notices to vehicles that are parked in such a way as to be likely to receive a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) from 11 January.  No vehicle or driver details will be collected during this phase of issuing warning notices.

Director of Estates and Facilities, Andrew Chatten, said: “Since the start of the pandemic our car parking barriers have been up, and our car parks have been open to the public, free of charge, to allow patients to easily access our hospitals. Parking remains free for those patients with long-term conditions who need regular, repeat visits to hospital such as for chemotherapy and dialysis”.

“Running and maintaining our car parks is expensive and these costs are rising year-on-year. All of the money we make from parking charges goes back into funding maintenance, upkeep, security, improvements to our roads and car parks and supporting provision of the popular Medilink bus service, which connects the park and ride facilities with our two hospitals.”
