Our Quality Account supplements our Annual Report & Financial Accounts. Quality Accounts provide detailed information on the quality of your local hospital's care and services, and its improvement. Quality covers safety, patient experience and effectiveness.
We are one of the largest employers in the region, with around 14,000 people on our three sites: Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham City Hospital and Ropewalk House.
Our full portfolio of specialist services includes heart, cancer, stroke, renal, neurosurgery and trauma.
We are at the forefront of many world-leading research programmes and new surgical procedures. In partnership with the University of Nottingham, we operate two National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Units - in hearing and digestive diseases. NUH is in the top five trusts nationally in providing opportunities for patients to take part in clinical research studies.

Who we serve
We strive to continually improve clinical outcomes and patient experience to meet the needs of the local, regional and national population that we serve. NUH provides secondary care services to a population of over one million people in the Nottinghamshire area and specialist tertiary care to patients across the East Midlands. A proportion of the Trust's activity is provided to patients who are referred to our hospitals from outside the region.
