Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is committed to supporting its workforce and improving working lives. As part of this commitment, NUH in conjunction with KiddiVouchers have a system whereby part of your salary can be exchanged for childcare vouchers as part of its flexible benefits initiative.
Childcare vouchers are simple to order and can be used to pay for most forms of childcare including nurseries, child minders, after school schemes and nannies that are Ofsted registered.
Vouchers cover children up to the age of 16 which enables parents with school aged children to benefit as well. The scheme is open to both working fathers and mothers and is simple and easy to use.
NUH is committed to supporting staff and recognises that staff need to be allowed a choice of childcare settings to fit in with their working patterns. The versatility of the voucher scheme enables them to select what type of childcare suits them best. By then paying with childcare vouchers, staff can make significant savings on the cost of the childcare.
With effect from April 2011, the Government is changing the rules for childcare vouchers that will affect higher rate taxpayers who join the scheme after 5 April 2011. These downloadable files will explain the changes more fully:
