Communication, voice and swallowing difficulties can have a significant impact on people in their personal, social and occupational life. The Nottinghamshire Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service is a nationally renowned service committed to offering the highest standard in assessment, diagnosis and therapy to people with such difficulties.
Problems in communication, voice and swallowing may be related to various medical conditions for example: stroke, head injury, cancers of the head and neck and neurological conditions such as motor neurone disease, dementia and multiple sclerosis. We offer a specialist service to both inpatients and outpatients with communication and swallowing difficulties. We help people to achieve their full potential by working with them individually or in groups and will include relatives, carers, volunteers and other professionals and agencies where appropriate.
The Nottinghamshire Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service is also committed to offering teaching and training to a diverse audience including patients, other Speech and Language Therapists and professionals locally and nationally.
