

Smokefree NUHNottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust operates a smoke-free policy inside and out across both of its campuses.
The Trust is supporting people to kick the habit while enforcing the smoking ban on both the Queen’s Medical Centre and City Hospital campuses.
The no-smoking policy was introduced by the hospitals in January and March 2006 respectively, prior to merging in April, to improve the environment for patients, visitors and staff. The move was in line with Government’s campaign to improve the health of the nation that will see the whole of the NHS smoke-free.
It means that visitors, staff and patients are not allowed to smoke anywhere on Trust premises, including hospital grounds. This applies to everyone: staff, patients, visitors, volunteers and contractors. It includes:
