Patient Advice and Liaison Service

How we can help

We can:

  • Listen to problems and concerns and trying to resolve them quickly on your behalf.
  • Offer advice and support on health and social care, including contacts for local and national self help groups, help lines and specialist advice services.
  • Provide health information on medical conditions, treatments and procedures.
  • Provide information on NHS services at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) and surrounding areas.

PALS is for anyone who uses either of the Nottingham University Hospitals. This includes patients, family members, carers and members of the public.

It is free and confidential.

PALS complements existing services. If you have a concern or complaint please speak to the senior nurse, doctor or manager of the department involved.  If you have tried this and you are still not happy, or you want to talk to someone who is not involved in your care, contact PALS.  We can help get things sorted out the way you want.

If we cannot resolve your issues, then we will be happy to advise you on making a formal complaint
