Nottingham
University Hospitals maternity units provide care for approximately
10,000 women each year. We offer a fully comprehensive service with
all facilities including midwifery and obstetric led care, neonatal
services, parent education,
patient hotel,
aromatherapy, birthing pools and active birth equipment.
We aim to give centred individualised care, offering choice and support to all women and their families. We work together as a team; women, experienced midwives, obstetricians and anaesthetists who are well supported by trained midwifery assistants, receptionists, and administration staff.
Nottingham University Hospitals is a teaching hospital that involves students with all aspects of care. Our vision within maternity services is to provide a calm and safe environment where staff work efficiently together, to ensure both the women and workforce feel satisfied and supported, enabling a positive birth experience.
