Who we are?
The Nottingham Children's Hospital Nursing Research and
Innovation Forum (NRIF) is composed of members who are Children’s
Nurses, Research Nurses, Academics and Educators who are
passionate about research and innovation.
What do we aim to achieve?
The forum aims to engage and empower staff to undertake,
implement and disseminate high quality, interdisciplinary research
and innovations that promote holistic, family-centred
care for infants, children and young people and their carers.
What are our objectives?
- Engage, enthuse and empower staff,
- Support and promote research and innovations that improve
quality of patient care and clinical outcomes,
- Encourage multi-disciplinary research within
Nottingham Children's Hospital through collaborating
with local and national inter-professional research
networks and groups,
- Share experience and develop capacity for
research that employs an appropriate range of
research methods that has greatest impact in clinical
practice/patient care.
- Support and develop rigorous mechanisms for
translating research into clinical practice.
