Thursday 9 February 2012
A visitor car park at the Queen’s Medical Centre is closed for two days for essential roadworks to be carried out.
Car Park 1 by the East Block of the hospital is shut on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 February. It will reopen this weekend. Visitors to the 151-space car park are being directed to other car parks around the QMC site.
The work is to create a new drop-off area for patients and to improve signage around the car park.
Security teams are on site to help direct visitors to Car Park 2 and 3 at the QMC (map: http://www.nuh.nhs.uk/patients-and-visitors/documents/maps/qmc_3d.pdf). Visitors are urged to consider using public transport when travelling to the QMC. For more information, please visit http://www.nuh.nhs.uk/patients-and-visitors/transport/public-transport-qmc.aspx.
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust also runs
a free Medilink bus service with free park and ride
facilities at Queen’s Drive and Wilkinson Street in
the city, with regular buses every 10 minutes.
