Welcome to the
Post Graduate Education Centre

The Postgraduate Education Centre is multi-professional, multidisciplinary, purpose built venue set in a central location on the main drive of Nottingham University Hospital, City Hospital Campus.

The Centre is recognised for its innovative approaches to education and training recognises the commitment of clinical colleagues to the development in training and development and is the main office of the Director of Postgraduate Medical Education and the Postgraduate Education Team. The Nottingham Vocational Training Scheme for GP’s, the Royal College of Physicians Regional Office and the Medical Chirurgical Society are also based at the Centre.

Facilities include a Lecture Theatre to seat 150, 6 lecture/seminar/ meeting rooms, a large lounge/exhibition area and administration offices. The building also houses:

The Clinical Skills and Competency Centre
providing training in clinical skills and minimally invasive surgery, using high-tech audio-video facilities, links to live theatres, video-conferencing and the internet.

The Library
situated on the first floor of the Postgraduate Education Centre, operates a joint service in partnership with the library found at the Queens Medical Centre Campus.

The Centre operates as a business and is part funded by the MPET (MADEL) budget, income generated from courses and hire of facilities and the generous donations of funds raised from courses by clinical colleagues who are committed to the development and delivery of medical education.
