IHCD ambulance personnel, emergency Medical Technicians, registered Nurses, registered Medical Practitioners, Military Medics, Offshore Medics.

Content
The PHTLS course is an intensive two-day experience. It emphasises the need for:

• rapid assessment of the critical trauma patient
• treatment of shock and hypoxaemia
• rapid transportation to an appropriate hospital

Format
Lectures and interactive skills stations. Through an assessment-based approach, students gain deeper knowledge and are exposed to new skills.
