

Diagnostic imaging is the creation of images mainly through the use of x-rays
but also with the use of sound waves (ultrasound) or magnetic fields
(MRI). These then provide medical staff with information required to
help reach a correct diagnosis of a clinical condition.
As a vital service, Diagnostic Imaging has extensive facilities at
both QMC and the City hospital sites.

All patients referred by their GP will be asked to contact the Nottingham University Hospital Call Centre on 0115 875 4568, to arrange which hospital and when they would like to attend an appointment.
If unable to attend a GP referred appointment, please contact the call centre on 0115 875 4568. Alternatively, you can change or completely cancel your Radiology appointment, using the Trust online form.http://www.nuh.nhs.uk/appointments/changexrayappointment.htm.
A patient will be informed by their doctor if a digital imagining examination can be performed on the same day as an already booked clinic appointment. If this is not possible some one will make contact in the near future to discuss a future date and time.
