The children’s respiratory service at Nottingham children’s hospital provides a service for a range of respiratory conditions, based on national and local guidelines. We are a tertiary referral centre providing a service for the East Midlands and care for complex respiratory conditions. We provide a unified and comprehensive service based on high standards for the children and young people within Nottingham.

Referrals are accepted from other hospitals, consultants within the Trust and from GP’s within primary care through the choose and book system.

Available From: Monday - Friday , weekends, bank holidays and out of hours contact the respiratory registrar on call via switch board.

Clinics available Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm located in children’s outpatients, children's clinic south in south block and east in east block both on B floor.

Making / Changing / Cancelling an Appointment

All appointments can be made or changed via central appointments at the QMC extension 66560. Appointments can be made through GP, Tertiary referral or direct patient request but must come through the choose and book system, where GP’s can make an appointment .

For new appointments only / via choose and book appointments can be changed or cancelled using the Trust online form http://www.nuh.nhs.uk/Appointments/changeappointment.htm.

 

Locations

We are situated on the Queens Medical Centre campus.

At the main entrance of the hospital, main reception B floor Derby Road. A patient liaison advice coordinator is available within the working day, who will give directions to the relevant clinic. Children's clinic East is situated on B floor, east block and children’s clinic south is located on B floor, south block.
