Quality Account 2010/11A full, summary and easy-read version of the report can be downloaded from the two following links:

The Quality Account 2010/11 is for patients, carers, the public and other organisations working in health and social care. It looks at the performance of NUH, which covers the Queen’s Medical Centre, City Hospital and Ropewalk House, with particular focus on:

  • patient safety
  • the standards of care patients can expect
  • what our patients and carers say about our services.

It also covers patient surveys, infection prevention and control, complaints, participation in clinical audits and smoking cessation. There is a statement from the NUH Chairman, Chief Executive and clinical teams at the Trust.

Earlier this year, NUH asked people what they wanted to see in the Quality Account. More than 230 people responded to a survey, saying they wanted to know more about:

  • waiting times
  • cancelled operations and what we are doing about this
  • complaints and actions
  • reducing infections, mistakes and learning from those.

The feedback received has helped to shape the report – the second to be published by the Trust.

Hard copies of all versions of the Quality Account are available upon request, including full, summary, easy read, large print and Braille.
